Hydro treating reactions are used industrially to remove sulphur, nitrogen, and oxygen from process streams including petroleum and biomass-derived oils. The catalyst converts organic Sulphur , Nitrogen and oxygenated compounds in to H2S, oxides of nitrogen which are subsequently removed by adsorbents downstream to protect the noble metal catalyst used in reforming and Isomerisation units.
